The nursing staff provide some or all of the following services in most clinics:- injections, routine vaccinations and immunisations, cervical smears, removal of stitches, travel advice and chronic disease management. Some of these procedures can only be carried out when a Doctor is on the premises. Routine blood pressure checks, urine testing and dressings are also carried out by the Practice Nurses and Healthcare Assistant. Your specimens must reach the laboratory the same day and need to be ready for the transport by 12.30 pm.
